KGSAAS Golf Membership

Located in Section 13, Shah Alam, just 20 kilometres from Kuala Lumpur and 45 minutes from KLIA, KGSAAS sits within the royal township of Selangor and carries an association with royalty that goes beyond its name. The club was built and opened in 1992 under the patronage of the late Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah, himself a keen golfer who wanted an international championship course within the city. One of the three nine-hole loops on the course bears the name of his son, Alam Shah, the current Sultan of Selangor.

The 27-hole championship layout was designed by five-time Open champion Peter Thomson, whose firm used the natural undulations of the terrain, over 25,000 trees and shrubs, and a series of lakes to create a parkland course that is challenging without being punishing. The three loops — President, Sultan, and Alam Shah — can be played in different combinations and are all fully floodlit, making KGSAAS the world's first golf club to offer complete 27-hole night golf.
